Wow, what a whirl wind!
Since I opened this blog I have not posted much, but that does not mean I have not had lots to post about. For a while there I inundated with custom orders, which is awesome because that means people really do like me, or at least they like my stuff. After those orders slowed down a few weeks ago I began to take it easy because I found out I am pregnant with our second child. Right now I favor sleep to crafting and that is OK as long as I can keep up with the custom orders. The bad thing is that my Etsy shop is not getting much play, but once I get my second trimester second wind I am sure that will change. I am currently working on some cute Christmas stuff I hope to have listed soon, so stay tuned. Bookmark me and visit often! I am always doing something creative.

You like me, you really like me!
Within a few days of posting my banners on Etsy and Facebook I received three custom orders and an Etsy sale (ready to ship as opposed to custom order)! Can you tell I am excited? All of the positive feedback I have received is really giving me the steam to keep plugging into the wee hours of the morning. I have so many ideas and not nearly enough time to work on them, but luckily for me I am high on enthusiasm and there is a Tim Horton's less than five minutes from my house. Back to work, I just wanted to share the good news :)

In Flight Ideas
When I started this new endeavor I knew that the only way for me to get traffic to my shop was to advertise. In a serendipitous turn of events one of my favorite party planning blogs just happened to be taking on new sponsors. I am proud to announce that I am a featured sponsor on Mayra Rivera's fabulous blog In Flight Ideas. Mayra hosts wonderful give aways, so follow her blog for a chance to win gorgeous handcrafted party supplies and other goodies.

Welcome to my new blog!
It has taken me a while to figure out what to do with Crafts by Carol Ann dot com, but I think it was definitely worth the wait. I am still in the early stages of developing handmade party supplies for my Etsy Shop, but I am in love with the concept and I have so many ideas that I lie in bed at night, unable to sleep, just jotting down notes to myself and sketching things out. Since I decided to start this endeavor my sleep deprivation is at an all time high, but my creative energy has given me the oomph to push through (sleep be danged!).
I have made several banners to tinker with pictures. Those ready to ship banners are currently listed in my shop. I still have so many ideas though and hardly enough working hours to do them in. I try to keep my crafting to hours when my baby is napping or sleeping because even though I love crafting, my first job is Super Mom. In addition to the paper banners I plan on doing an entire digital line of supplies that you can download and print. I am also going to make additional party supplies to match the banners listed in my shop. Cupcake toppers, lollipop covers, party hats...you name it, I can make it all!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog, I hope you will bookmark it and visit often. I am very excited about this new creative endeavor, it is a culmination of the things I love to do: crafting and party planning. I look forward to working with you in the future to help make your event not only memorable, but beautiful. I want people to walk away from your party totally blown away by all of the thoughtful details. I think dessert has reigned long enough as the most talked about element of an event, it is time to let your decor dazzle! Let's give them something to talk about and aspire to, let's give them a beautiful, hand crafted event to remember!
